Jet Setting

So just about two weeks after I get home from Peru I am off to Maui for 7 days. An opportunity came up that I just couldn't pass up, so I grabbed it. I have never been to Maui or any of the Hawaiian Islands so I am very excited. I anticipate it will be a very relaxing slow paced trip. Which is ok because Peru was a very physical wake up early every morning adventure. I have lots of books, magazine, and art supplies to feed my brain and keep me busy. I will be staying in a condo on the beach so I have more freedom than with a hotel room.
I am going to attempt to work on some Lumen prints if I can get the photo paper through the airport x-ray machines safely. I think the flora and humidity of Maui would work perfectly for the process. Of course this put me off track a little bit in my preparation for Open Studio's. I will just have to work my butt off when I get home getting everything together and set up.

Art on the move

I picked up my artwork from The Art Gallery at San Francisco University yesterday. The show went really well. I had a lot of great feedback and comments. Thanks again to everyone who braved the rain and came to the reception. Below are some pictures from the reception.
A lot of these pieces will be going to the Saratoga library for a two month show starting May 6th until June 27th.

Back from Peru

Where to begin? I just got back from my adventure in Peru. It was amazing; I still can’t find the proper words to describe it. It was a remarkable adventure and I feel very fortunate have been able to experience it. It was more than I could have ever expected. One of my favorite parts was visiting the Amazon jungle; it was so inspiring and beautiful. It was an environment completely different than anything I have ever experienced. This trip pushed me physically and mentally. All of the people and landscapes were so unique and thought provoking.
It all seems like a dream now; I am just reflecting and letting the experiences sink in. I went right away and developed the pictures. If you are interested you can see a lot of them at:
